Dear Parents,

I am proud of the success that our students, parents, and teachers have accomplished at BCJH. You have worked hard. I feel confident that this year will be no different. We have set some smart goals that I know, working together, we can accomplish.

• We have set higher academic goals for each student in reading, math, and writing. We will continue to assist every student in these areas during the day and in before or after school tutoring.
• As school attendance is paramount to a good education, we are offering incentives for daily attendance. Parents, please make sure your child attends school each and every day so that he/she will be proud of his/her accomplishments.
• We will continue to use the Character Counts and Words of Wisdom programs and our Behavior Resource Center to encourage positive student behavior.
• We will frequently monitor our students’ individual progress as well as the school’s progress to determine the direction of our instruction.
• We believe that extracurricular activities, including clubs and sports, are important at this age. Such activities develop self-esteem and strength of character. We will strive to develop this important aspect of your child’s education.
• We will increase the use of technology in our school by students, teachers, and parents.
• We support parents and their passion for their student to achieve. When parents are involved with their students work at school, the rate of student success doubles. We share your passion. We support you and your student.
